A dog's needs change as it grows, and again as it slows down. These are the same Bonaforte recipes, sorted by the stage your dog is at rather than by range.
Puppy
Puppies build their whole frame in a matter of months, so the balance matters more here than at any other stage. These recipes carry higher protein and energy for growth, added omega 3 for brain and eye development, and joint support while cartilage is still forming — with calcium and phosphorus held at levels that build bone steadily rather than fast. Kibble is sized for a puppy's mouth, and the Kennel Complete Mother & Puppy is formulated for large and giant breeds and for mothers in whelp and in milk.
Senior Dogs
Older dogs move less but still need protein — often more of it, and more digestible — to hold on to lean muscle. These recipes keep the protein high and the fat low, with L-carnitine to help manage weight, and collagen and a joint pack to support cartilage and mobility. Good choices for a dog who has slowed down but has plenty of years in them yet.
Small Breed
The same 65% meat Five Star recipes, made in a smaller kibble — 10mm across and 5mm thick, shaped to suit smaller mouths and easier for a little dog to pick up and chew. Small breeds burn energy quickly for their size, so these are nutrient dense, with a light option for dogs who put weight on easily and a senior option for the older ones.
