Bonaforte's Five Star — Puppy — Scottish Salmon — a grain-free complete food for growing puppies, with 65% total salmon, added nucleotides and a joint care pack.
Nutrition developed in our own Irish Wolfhound kennel — and if any breed teaches you about growing a puppy properly, it is that one. This recipe is built for steady, controlled growth rather than rushed growth: plenty of salmon protein, a smaller kibble that a puppy can manage, added nucleotides, and joint support for the cartilage that is still forming. Grain-free throughout, and gentle on young digestions.
What's in it, and why
- 65% total salmon — rich in essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals to support everyday health and well-being.
- Minimum 35% freshly prepared Scottish salmon — less intensively farmed fish, and a natural source of collagen.
- Joint care pack — glucosamine, methylsulfonylmethane and chondroitin sulphate, to help support cartilage metabolism for the growth of healthy joints in puppies.
- Naturally occurring collagen — found in freshly prepared ingredients; helps maintain healthy joints and skin for growing puppies.
- Nucleotides — included in the recipe for young, developing dogs.
- Superfood blend — dill for iron, to help support normal functions of the circulatory system; spinach for Vitamin A, to help maintain healthy vision; fennel for calcium, which helps maintain healthy bones and teeth; asparagus for Vitamin C, which plays an essential role in collagen synthesis; and tomato for potassium, to help with nerve and muscle function.

Feeding guides are a starting point — adjust to keep your dog in ideal body condition. Introduce any new food gradually over 7–10 days. Fresh drinking water should always be available.
The kibble
A small triangular kibble of roughly 10mm across and 5mm deep, optimised and designed to suit puppies. Each kibble has a tolerance of +/- 1mm.
