Bonaforte's Five Star Small Breed Light (Low Fat) — Free Range Turkey — a grain-free, reduced-fat recipe for small adult dogs carrying a little more weight than they should.
Same 65% meat content as the rest of the Five Star range, but formulated with a reduced fat content to help support a healthy weight, and with a joint care pack for dogs whose joints are working harder than they need to. The kibble is sized for small mouths. Nutrition developed in our own Irish Wolfhound kennel.
What's in it, and why
- 65% total turkey & pork — rich in essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals to support everyday health and well-being.
- Minimum 35% freshly prepared free range turkey — a lean protein source, low in fat and a good source of riboflavin, potassium and selenium.
- Low fat — formulated with a reduced fat content to help support a healthy weight.
- Joint care pack — glucosamine, MSM and chondroitin sulphate, to help support cartilage for healthy joints in overweight dogs.
- Naturally occurring collagen — found in freshly prepared ingredients; helps maintain healthy joints and skin.
- Parsley — a source of vitamin K, which has a role in calcium metabolism to help maintain healthy bones.
- Papaya — a good source of vitamin C, known for its antioxidant properties, which may help support the immune system.
- Nettle — a source of iron, to help support normal functions of the circulatory system.
- Courgette — a source of vitamin B3, an important cofactor in carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism.
- Pumpkin — a source of vitamin A, to help maintain healthy vision.

Feeding guides are a starting point — adjust to keep your dog in ideal body condition. Introduce any new food gradually over 7–10 days. Fresh drinking water should always be available.
The kibble
A small triangular kibble, roughly 10mm across and 5mm thick, with a tolerance of +/- 1mm. Our small breed kibble has been optimised and designed to suit smaller mouths.
