Bonaforte's Five Star Small Breed — Free Range Turkey — a grain-free, 65% meat everyday food for small adult dogs, with a kibble sized for smaller mouths.
A complete food for small breed adult dogs, built on the same free range turkey recipe as the rest of the Five Star range. The turkeys are kept at lower densities in the barn with access to daylight and fresh air. They grow more slowly, which means more flavour, more muscle fat and a better, firmer meat texture — a lean protein source rich in essential amino acids, low in fat, and a good source of riboflavin, potassium and selenium. Nutrition developed in our own Irish Wolfhound kennel.
What's in it, and why
- 65% total turkey & pork — rich in essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals to support everyday health and well-being.
- Minimum 35% freshly prepared free range turkey — slower-grown birds, for better meat.
- Digestive health — added pre-biotics MOS & FOS help aid digestive health.
- Joint support — naturally occurring collagen from the freshly prepared turkey (7% in the finished food) helps maintain healthy joints and skin, and provides important building blocks for bones.
- Superfood blend — five carefully selected superfoods, each with its own benefit.
The five superfoods
- Parsley — a source of vitamin K, which has a role in calcium metabolism to help maintain healthy bones.
- Papaya — a good source of vitamin C, known for its antioxidant properties, which may help support the immune system.
- Nettle — a source of iron, to help support normal functions of the circulatory system.
- Zucchini — a source of vitamin B3, an important cofactor in carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism.
- Pumpkin — a source of vitamin A, to help maintain healthy vision.

All dogs are different, so treat this as a starting point and adapt it to the breed, age, temperament and activity level of your own dog. When changing foods, introduce the new food gradually over a period of two weeks. Always ensure fresh, clean water is available.
The kibble
10mm across and 5mm thick, with a tolerance of +/- 1mm. Our small breed kibble has been optimised and designed to suit smaller mouths. 18 month shelf life.
