What "all life stages" means

An all life stages recipe is formulated to meet the requirements of the most demanding life stage — growth and reproduction. Under FEDIAF nutritional guidelines, a food that meets the nutrient profile for puppies also meets or exceeds the needs of adult dogs. Freshtrusion™ HDP — the science behind Peptide+

Freshtrusion HDP is a unique process in which freshly prepared meat and fish are cooked in the presence of a natural enzyme that breaks the protein down into small peptides. The size of those peptides is what determines how well protein is digested and absorbed — when protein isn't absorbed properly, its nutritional value is lost.

The Goldilocks principle. You might assume whole, intact protein is best because it arrives with everything intact, or that single amino acids — broken down as far as possible — must be easiest to absorb. Research shows neither is true. Intact protein is too big, singular amino acids are too little, and the best digestibility and absorption rates occur in small-chain di- and tri-peptides. Just right.

Hypoallergenic by design. Protein hydrolysed to low molecular weight peptides makes a dietary allergy or sensitivity reaction far less likely, and the recipe is formulated without grains.

Feeding & storage

Feed to appetite according to your dog's weight, age and activity level, adjusting to maintain ideal body condition. Introduce any new food gradually over 7–10 days, mixing an increasing proportion with the old food. Fresh drinking water should be available at all times.
